Fana Mekonen

Founder

Fana is a community leader whose dedication and vision has earned her the reputation as a catalyst of positive change. As a proud Ethiopian-Canadian, she serves as the Founder of Enheed, where she is dedicated to diaspora in development initiatives, as well as knowledge and skill transfer. Ultimately, Fana strives to bridge the gap between Africa and African youth in the diaspora.

Sarem Yesus

Program Coordinator

Sarem is a highly motivated Human Resource professional, with an interest in affecting positive change in the community. Having volunteered across continents, working with youth and new migrants, Sarem prides herself on providing support and effective solutions to optimize engagement, make a difference and contribute to the purpose of an organizations mission by proving project, administration, operational and strategic HR support.

RAHEL KIFLU

Leadership and Learning Manager

Rahel is an educator with a passion for children’s rights. She’s an Instructor Therapist, who teaches children with Autism and helps them reach their full potential. Her international reach includes a recent trip to Ethiopia where she worked at a hospital providing support to women and children diagnosed with HIV.

Hanna Mohammed

Communications Manager

Hanna is a first generation Ethiopian-Canadian who travelled to Ethiopia for the first time in 2017. The trip proved to be an invigorating and deeply moving experience. She has committed to staying connected to her roots and motivates others to do the same. Hanna studied local and international politics and now specializes in policy research and analysis. Hanna works to impact the world one step at a time.
